If you can’t do everything you want to during a holiday, what would be most important to you and your family? What do you value about the holidays? Here is a worksheet to help you sort it out.
Exercise: Put the number “1” next to the item on the following list that represents the highest priority to you during the holiday season. Then decide which of the remaining values is the next most important to you and label it number “2”. Continue until all the items are numbered. If there is anything that doesn’t seem important to you at this time of year, cross it off the list. If there is something missing, add it to the list and rank it in priority along with the others. Remember: Even something that is not high on the list may still be important to you.
