Q: How did you get involved with Healthy Families?
A: A representative from Healthy Families came to the hospital after Elizabeth’s birth and told me about it.
Q: Why did you decide to try Healthy Families?
A: I felt like I could get some good information from a home visitor.
Q: What were your expectations of a Healthy Families?
A: I expected educational home visits and information about raising my kids.
Q: What was your experience like with Healthy Families?
A: I love the home visits and the activities we do. Excellent experience.
Q: What skills and tools did you learn from Healthy Families?
A: I learned to enjoy playtime and keep my kids entertained, as well as giving them the tools to succeed in learning.
Q: Has Healthy Families influenced or changed the way you parent?
A: Absolutely. I am more confident after having that time with Sandy, my home visitor.
Q: Would you recommend Parenting Now!/Healthy Families to other parents? Why or why not?
A: Yes, I absolutely would recommend it to anyone with kids—whether you know what you are doing or if you are a new parent.
About Healthy Families: Healthy Families is a free home visiting program for new parents, accredited with Healthy Families America. Home visits may begin prenatally up until the baby is 3 months old and continue until the child’s third birthday.
