Healthy Families Going Strong

This message is regarding my Healthy Families home visitor, Dixie. I don’t know where to begin. Dixie has been a huge blessing in my and my daughter’s life in the last 3 years. She’s seen me at my best, and worst. She has really given me great tools to become a better first time mother! I love getting books for my daughter, and charting her intellectual growth. She’s so intelligent, and I give so much credit to Parenting Now! Dixie is an excellent visitor and I wish there was some way to express my gratitude.

When my daughter was about 3 months old, her dad and I had big problems. It had already been a huge struggle since birth, feeling like I was doing everything by myself, and I dealt with postpartum depression for a solid 6-9 months. I didn’t know what to do. But I knew I always looked forward to our visits. Dixie brought so much support, knowledge, and kindness. Dixie has led me down a good path and is always so positive and encouraging. Now, as my daughter turns 3 in a week, I look back and can’t imagine going through this journey without her. Each visit we have talked, read, done crafts, completed learning tasks, and even sang (just a tiny bit lol). She’s watched my daughter and me grow. She’s been there to see her learn to crawl, walk, go through potty training, learning to speak, and now putting thoughts and sentences together! My daughter is so bright now! But I don’t think I could have done this alone!

Parenting Now, in general, has become a staple in our lives. I’m so sad our time is coming to a close. We’ve greatly enjoyed coming to play groups and special holiday get-togethers. There’s been so much information given to us, and so much love and support!

I cannot thank you all enough for everything! All the time and effort put into teaching these little babies, is time well spent. I hope every new parent takes the time to sign up for Parenting Now and has the satisfaction that I now hold.
