At Parenting Now, we strive to make your placement an interesting, practical and memorable learning experience. You will receive a checklist of basic requirements for interns and a list of core skills you will have the opportunity to develop during your time with us. If there is a specific skill you are interested in, please let us know and we will try to give you more experience in that area.
Most interns work in these three program areas:
- Parenting Education
- Development and Fundraising
- Communications
- Children’s Program
- Nonprofit Administration/Office
Other possibilities include: Curriculum, Home Visiting or Special Projects.
A minimum of 3 hours per week for 9 weeks is required.
Qualifications: Enrollment in a college program related to human development or experience in the field. Age 18 or older. Criminal background check required.
