Ways to Include Parenting Now! in Your Estate Plans & Sample Bequest Language

Below are examples of ways you can leave your legacy for Parenting Now!, as well as some sample language you can use for different types of bequests to be included in your will or trust. (Be sure to consult an attorney in preparing legal documents and always include both our full legal name of “Parenting Now!” and our tax identification number, which is 93-0706557.)

Percentage of your estate

Fixed amount of money
“I give $_______ to Parenting Now!, located in Eugene, Oregon, tax identification number 93-0706557, for its general charitable uses and purposes.”

Real estate or other property
“I give [description of the property, including exact location] to to Parenting Now!, located in Eugene, Oregon, tax identification number 93-0706557, for its general charitable uses and purposes.”

Residual bequest
“I give the residue of my estate to to Parenting Now!, located in Eugene, Oregon, tax identification number 93-0706557, for its general charitable uses and purposes.”

Contingent beneficiary

Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRAs
To make a QCD from your IRA, which has many tax benefits, instruct your IRA trustee or custodian to “make a transfer in the amount of $_______ from the IRA directly to Parenting Now!, located in Eugene, Oregon, tax ID number 93-0706557.” Many trustees and custodians already have forms and procedures in place to make this transfer. Please note: a QCD won’t qualify for the unique tax savings for QCDs if the check from the IRA is made out to you. It must be made out to and transferred directly to Parenting Now!
