Parenting Educator Assistant Role: Enhancing Family Engagement
The Parenting Educator Assistant collaborates closely with a professional parenting educator within Parenting Now Groups. Their responsibilities include facilitating meetings and discussions, taking detailed notes, organizing group materials, and warmly welcoming parents as they arrive. By working alongside experienced staff in a non-profit environment, the assistant gains valuable insights into group facilitation, leadership development, and child development. Additionally, they enhance their professional skills related to documentation, priority-setting, collaboration, effective communication, information processing, adaptability, and maintaining boundaries and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Educational/Professional Background:
Enrolled in a program related to human development or possesses relevant field experience.
Completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
Personal Attributes:
Aged 13 or older.
Genuine fondness for children.

Spanish Language Volunteer: Bridging Cultures and Empowering Families
The Spanish Language Volunteer plays a vital role in supporting parenting educators and teachers who work directly with Spanish-speaking families. Depending on their proficiency, volunteers may assist with translating documents. Additionally, they have the unique opportunity to engage in conversations with native Spanish speakers, deepen their understanding of Hispanic culture, expand their network, and make a meaningful contribution to the Latino community.
Qualifications:
Age Requirement:
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older.
Language Proficiency:
Assignments are tailored to the volunteer’s level of Spanish language proficiency.
Some positions require advanced fluency, while others are open to those with basic Spanish-speaking abilities.
Other Requirements:
Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Special Event Volunteers: Contributing to Memorable Occasions
Our dedicated Special Event Volunteers play a crucial role in enhancing our annual auction and other community events.
Auction Volunteers:
Engage in various tasks to prepare for the annual auction, including:
Wrapping packages, adding decorations to auction packaging, crafting decorations, labeling auction items, creating raffle tickets, assisting with wine bagging, etc.
Shifts typically last 1-3 hours.
Event Set-Up Assistance:
Volunteers help with event setup on the day of the occasion.
This involves a single 4-hour shift.
Additionally, our Special Event Representatives staff information tables during community events or lend a hand at other various community events.

Office Assistant: Supporting Efficiency Behind the Scenes
As an Office Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our non-profit office. Your responsibilities will include photocopying and collating handouts, assembling packets, and performing other essential office tasks. Here’s what you can expect:
