Based in Eugene, Oregon, Parenting Now is seeking a part-time Fiscal Manager.

General Purpose of Position:

Supports Management in all aspects of fiscal management in accordance with GAAP for non-profits including: accounting, reporting, internal controls, annual audit preparation, Form 990 preparation, and assist with budget development.

Job Duties:

  • Work with Managing Director to oversee all financial accounting for the agency
  • Report to Board, Executive Committee and Finance Committee on financial condition of the organization, including preparation of monthly financial report packet and cash flow projections.
  • Recommend any modifications to financial policies to enhance financial accountability
  • Ensure that proper fiscal controls and systems are in place to produce reliable, timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Assist Managing Director to develop budgets, including projected cash flows.
  • Coordinate and assist in annual financial audit, including preparation of Annual Financial Statements and Notes
  • Preparation of annual Form 990 and Oregon Form CT-12
  • Annual submissions of audit and related documentation to third parties as needed (ex. Lane County).
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervision Received From: Managing Director

Collaboration With: Full Cycle Bookkeeper 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge GAAP 
  • Best practice for accounting procedures and management
  • Preparation of financials reports and year-end Financial Statement.
  • Excel
  • Ability to work independently

Desired Education and/or Experience:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Knowledge of Non-profit Accounting
